HP DVD Writer 200i media recognizing problem

Hi

My DVD Writer is HP 200i, machine Shuttle SG51, burning program the newest
updated Nero and an operating system WindowsXP Pro. The problem is that the
HP 200i doesn't seems to recognize for example bulk DVD-R/RW media. At the
moment only HP and FujiFilm media's are working properly. Any advice or
solution?

Yes, the HP 200i only uses DVD+R/+RW. Hope that "-"
was a typo on your part.

I Was told something about the bulkpaq disks in that certain dvd writers
will either see them or not see them depending on what firmware the dvd
writer has.
the HP writer dvd 200i/e is an oem Ricoh MP-5125a +R +RW writer.
Firmware versions 1.06,1.27,1.36 and (1.51 being the newest).
The Ricoh DVD MP-5125a has firmware versions, 1.13,1.18,1.27,1.38, and (1.51
being the newest).
Check that the bulk discs you have are in fact + and not - discs.
other variations of the drive are the Aopen DVRW 2412, Memorex DVD100,
Traxdata RW5125a, Sony DRU120a, Philips DVDRW6002, Philips DVD+RW-D28.

Yes, - was the typo. I meant that there are problems with some DVD+R/RW
media.
